Epoch Lacrosse Releases Limited Edition Gold Dragonfly 7 Lacrosse Stick

U.S. Design and Technology company Epoch Lacrosse has been equipping lax-ers with quality equipment since they began in 2011. With keen attention to detail and knowledge of what’s important in regards to lacrosse equipment design, Epoch Lacrosse has released the next of kin in their Dragonfly series of lacrosse sticks: the Dragonfly 7 Gold.

James Miceli, co-owner and founder of Epoch Lacrosse, told Inside Lacrosse that the Dragonfly 7 is by far their most advanced design. “By using the latest materials and technology,” Miceli told IL, “we’ve constructed a shaft with exceptional design consistency and top-grade material to provide players with a quality product.”

Epoch is always searching to understand the deeper workings of lacrosse, and they’ve showed this in manufacturing their product through a vertical integration system in the U.S. This allows the company to have complete and utter control of the production process, beginning in research and development. So, it should come as no surprise as to why they’ve been so successful in producing such high-performance products.

The Dragonfly 7 features gameplay enhancements like Epoch’s torque-box technology, as well as their Intelligent Weave, or carbon fiber composite, which was designed to create a lightweight handle that will keep your hands stable and push energy toward the head of the stick while passing or shooting.

Not only are these lacrosse sticks built with the best technology on the market, Epoch Lacrosse has weaved some of their Dragonfly technology with a little bit of limited edition steez, equipping the D7 with a gold colored shaft. These gold shafts were created to commemorate the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Final Four in late May — and unfortunately, the Dragonfly 7 C60 Gold size is sold out.

Luckily for you, though, the Dragonfly 7 C30 Gold is still available on Epoch Lacrosse’s website for $140.

Fire restrictions and water shortages hit Grand Canyon visitors—what to know
Hiking at the Grand Canyon anytime soon? Watch out for this new danger
a man standing on a stone pillar in Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon National Park has just located a new break in the Transcanyon Waterline. While the waterline has seen its fair share of issues, this latest incident in a long series of breaks means that the South Rim will need to face stricter water restrictions. Until the repairs are completed, the park is officially in conservation mode, and the water was completely shut off on December 7th.

If you're planning on hiking or visiting the South Rim in the coming days, be aware that you will need to carry more water than you originally planned. Refilling and treated water stations will be limited, so save your water for drinking only and bring more than you think you'll need. Once you deplete half of your water, consider turning around or heading to the nearest exit point or ranger station to stay on the safe side. You don't want to find yourself in an emergency situation.

Toyota’s ‘convertible’ Land Cruiser ROX concept is beyond cool
The open-top one-off is wider, wilder, and more fun than any other Toyota concept in recent memory.
Toyota Land Cruiser ROX Concept parked on a ridge in the backcountry.

Fresh from this year's SEMA event, this Toyota "convertible" is among the coolest Land Cruiser concepts we've seen in years. The design, a brainchild of Toyota's North American design studio, Calty Design Research, is distinctly LC while taking a clear stab at both the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. It's an overlander's dream — bolder, wilder, and more fun than almost any other Toyota on the market.

Calty had a hand in the creation of the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser 250, and it shows. This concept, dubbed the Land Cruiser "ROX" (an acroynm for "Recreation Open eXperience"), is a nod to the LC's open-air, open-top heritage. The redesign process involved swapping more than 50% of the vehicle's OEM parts, from the sheet metal to the glass and beyond.

Try an empty Tic Tac box for this weird camping hack
Will Tic Tac containers save your camping experience?
A camp stove cooking food with a desert landscape blurred in the background

For a lot of campers, simple food while out in the wild is the go-to. While that might be okay for some, you shouldn't have to settle for bland fare if you don't want to! A flavorful meal while in the outdoors can elevate your camping experience. We've covered how to do this before, but here's a whole new thing to try: repurposing your empty Tic Tac containers to hold spices.

That's right — don't throw them out! Believe it or not, Tic Tac containers are perfect for this purpose. They're small, compact, and have a flexible plastic lid that can open and close repeatedly without breaking. Try using them for all your favorite spices: salt, pepper, garlic powder, whatever you like! You can also use them to store dry herbs such as thyme, oregano, and basil. Just use a clean funnel for a mess-free transfer.
