As he told us:
The theme of my life is storytelling. On the set of my show ‘Home & Family‘ I get the privilege of interviewing actors, musicians, chefs, experts in their field, amazing everyday people who have accomplished great things or people who have overcome incredible challenges and help them share their stories with our audience. After work and on the weekend, I pick up my camera and continue to tell stories through capturing moments. Moments of my family and friends, moments of something incredible and moments of something simple – all captured stories that will live forever in pictures.
As for my personal style: Paige AG
Jeans:
I love jeans that have stretch. My trick is, I buy jeans a size bigger and then take in the waist to accommodate my muscular legs. And these brands are great for my body type! Recently, I cleaned my closet and found several pairs of Paige jeans that fit my eldest son – he is enjoying wearing designer jeans to school.
Shirts: Ted Baker, Hugo Boss
Ted Baker has such fun prints and fits off the rack. Hugo Boss is always classic.
Pants: Ted Baker, Hugo Boss, and Canali
I prefer to wear a great pair of jeans, but if I have to wear dress pants Ted Baker, Hugo Boss, and Canali work the best for me. They are classic, straight leg cuts.
Suits: Hugo Boss, Ted Baker, Canali
For suits, I love classic, with a little pop. Either a fun lapel flower or pocket square, I love The Tie Bar for that.
Shoes: Ugg, Cole Haan, and Ted Baker
WHY? Ugg I wear in my personal life, they are comfortable and easy to throw on and go. For dress-up and work, Cole Haan makes a great shoe, and Ted Baker always has a fun new style to try where they take classic and add some color, which I like.
Accessories: Apple Watch & Neil Lane Wedding Band
I love gadgets. My Apple Watch consistently gives me information all day long. I get tired of looking at my phone, with one quick turn of the wrist I am up to date with the news around me. Also, when messages come in, it allows me to know when and if I need to take action on if something pretty quickly.
My Neil Lane wedding band is a simple band that is perfect in weight and comfort fit. My dad had a simple band. He was a working man and worked for John Deer in Iowa. My ring reminds me of a simple happy life of a man with a wonderful wife as a partner. It is a wedding band of a working man’s hand. I have never taken it off since the day my beautiful wife put it on my finger.
Outerwear: Lululemon clothing
Because I am always on the go, I need to wear clothing that is comfortable and nonrestrictive. Lululemon is a perfect brand. It feels like athletic wear, but looks clean, holds its shape and never wrinkles.
Favorite Cologne: Calvin Klein Obsession & Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio
I tend to go old school with Calvin Klein Obsession, however, Armani’s Acqua Di Gio has a positive effect on my wife. More times than not, Armani’s Acqua Di Gio gets me to where I am going in the romance department.
Favorite App: Instagram
Instagram is the best platform that showcases what I personally do best — sharing storytelling through imagery.
Favorite piece of technology: Wacom Tablet & Lightroom
The Wacom tablet allows me to have precision and speed in my everyday life.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a fantastic piece of technology for organizing and manipulating and ultimately sharing imagery.
Next purchase: Roto Lights
Roto Lights are the best photography lights. The versatility allows me to accomplish so many different options while shooting. They are a continuous light source, strobe and with their color options, you never need to change gels. They are also battery operated so you aren’t dealing with having cords all over the place. Their prices have been becoming even more affordable for photographers.
