Every ‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’ trailer in one place

'Shazam: Fury of the Gods' is almost here and we have all of the trailers!

The DCEU has had a rough go of it as of late. Several of its most anticipated movies and projects have been underwhelming financially, causing cancellations and budget cuts. The first Gal Gadot Wonder Woman movie was a hit, but the sequel flopped. This caused the third movie in the franchise to be scrapped. Black Adam was deemed a box office failure after the Dwayne Johnson-vehicle only made about $390 million. This all means that Shazam: Fury of the Gods, the sequel to 2019’s Shazam movie, has a lot of baggage surrounding it due to the disappointing reputation surrounding DC’s movies right now. After taking a look at the trailers for the film, it looks like the Zachary Levi hero-flick could be a way for the company to turn things around with one of the most exciting new movies coming out in 2023!

SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS - Official Trailer 1

This first trailer was released in July of 2022, about eight months before the release of the film on March 17. The trailer is shown through the perspective of adult Shazam talking about the events of the first movie with a pediatrician, a punchline that is delivered exquisitely halfway through the clip. The rest of the plot is left somewhat vague, although it appears there will be even more use of Shazam’s powers alongside his friends than in the first movie. Press kits and plot synopses online state that Shazam’s foster friend group will have to leverage their alter egos to fend off a deified threat from the outside. This isn’t a very creative plot, but rather a tried and true method to succeed in the superhero genre. Saving the world never gets old, right? I guess it all depends on the journey to get there.

SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS - Official Trailer 2

The final trailer for Shazam: Fury of the Gods shows a lot more of the trepidation that Billy Batson has about his obligations to save the world. He even asks that his powers as Shazam get taken away. In classic hero fashion, though, the final scenes of the trailer show the group taking their responsibilities head-on and bringing the fight to the gods. The film appears to have a great mix of humor and drama that is typical of Marvel, but not usually found in the DCEU. For those who hope to see these comics continue to be adapted for the screen, fans are going to want to see this film and show their support. Shazam: Fury of the Gods is in theaters on March 17.

Everything we know about Fallout season 2
When will the award-worthy video game adaptation return?
Ella Purnell (Lucy)

Adaptations of video games used to immediately conjure mediocre memories of directors and screenwriters misunderstanding the point of the original story or not properly translating it from the console to the big screen. As video games have become more cinematic in nature and respected by the general population, it feels like the movies and shows made using the video game industry have expanded and evolved into something greater. If The Last of Us is the first example that comes to mind of a video game adaptation done right in recent years, Fallout shouldn't be far behind.

Based on the video game franchise that started in 1997, Fallout stars Ella Purnell (from Yellowjackets) as a survivor of a nuclear war who decides to leave her bunker and rise to the surface, both literally and figuratively. The setting, acting, and storylines were all acclaimed in season 1 (Walton Goggins got an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series). Prime Video has renewed the series for a second season. We have everything you need to know about Fallout season 2 from potential storylines to when it will be ready to stream.

Greta Gerwig might be planning to adapt every ‘Narnia’ book
The previous series of adaptations only made it to three installments.
Greta Gerwig directing Barbie.

Following up on the success of Barbie, Greta Gerwig could have made basically whatever she wanted. It's telling, then, that she decided to dive head first into an adaptation of C.S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia. Now, following the news that Gerwig's adaptation will be released exclusively in IMAX theaters for at least two weeks before it hits theaters, IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond has suggested that Netflix might be planning to adapt all eight of Lewis's novels.

"This was a really great movie [for us] because I think there are like eight movies planned … and what Imax does best is launch franchises and launch events, [and] this is the kind of movie that is very conducive to an Imax release. It’s also not as unusual as you think," Gelfond said in an interview with Deadline.

Will there be a second season of ‘Agatha All Along?’
Marvel's head of TV also expressed interest in returning to Hawkeye.
The cast of Agatha All Along

Although the series was centered on a supporting character from WandaVision, Agatha All Along quickly became one of the more successful Marvel shows following its premiere in 2024. The show was so successful, in fact, that according to reporting in Entertainment Weekly, the studio is eager to make another season, but doesn't want to rush into production.

Brad Winderbaum, the head of streaming, television, and animation for Marvel told the magazine that he was intrigued by the possibility of bringing the show back. "A show like Agatha, to me, is concept based. Yes, a second season for sure is something that we would want to do, but let's not rush it. Let's get the right idea and then make it," he said.
