If you’re finally upgrading to cordless, battery-powered power tools, you should also be aware of the way their batteries work. They’re brand limited. For example, a 20V DeWalt battery will only work with other 20V DeWalt tools. So, do your best to link up all of your battery-powered tools with the same brand if you can.
Most people also prefer tools with brushless motors due to their longer lifespans and low maintenance requirements, though those tools are more expensive. Take advantage of Black Friday deals season savings to get these premium tools at a lower price.

It’s also worth noting that we’ve been covering battery-powered, cordless power tools for a long time now. One thing that we’ve discovered, from a market perspective, is that the best cordless drills are often a great way to “introduce” yourself to a system because they typically always come with a battery and charger. Then, you can buy other tools that use the same battery in a battery-free (usually called “bare tool” or “tool only” by manufacturers) format to save money and grow your collection. We paid particular attention to this system while checking out these deals, but also included kits with multiple tools and batteries so you could easily start with a larger collection at a discount.
