What new bourbon are we pumped about? Which hiking trail are we exploring? Why is the next supercar so cool? The Manual is dedicated to helping men live a more engaged life. Each week, our editors and guests get together for a round-table discussion about what’s new, exciting, and unique in the men’s lifestyle world. So pop open your favorite brew, step into your man cave, and start streaming.

For this week’s episode of Beards, Booze, and Bacon: The Manual Podcast, the round-table — Managing Editor Nicole Raney; Food and Drink Editor Sam Slaughter; Associate Editor of Lifestyle Chase McPeak; and the ever affable host Greg Nibler — discuss The Manual Grooming Awards 2018.

First, the group digs deep into what goes into creating an awards series like this, what its purpose is, and how useful it can be in the lives of everyday men. Chase then talks about the dozens and dozens of grooming products he tested on himself before finally landing on a topic that is near and dear to The Manual’s heart: beards.

Greg and Sam discuss their beards, including length, scruff, and what they use to maintain it, while Chase offers his advice on how to properly care for those whiskers, which involves beard balms, oils, trimmers, a trip to the barber, and a few of our winning products from the Grooming Awards. They move on to shaving — best shaving creams, razors, and aftershaves — and Chase once again emphasizes the importance of moisturizing and hydration.

The Manual folks also touch on hangover creams (yes, they’re real!), a moisturizer made with meteorite dust, the importance of hydration, and the one grooming product all men should own.

Finally, the group reveals that one lucky man can be the winner of every single winning product from The Manual Grooming Awards 2018. This is The Manual’s largest grooming giveaway to date with a retail value of over $1,000. Enter to win here.
