Will Netflix’s ‘The Diplomat’ be back for a third sesaon?

The show was one of Netflix's biggest hits after its first season debuted.

The second season of The Diplomat is about to hit Netflix on Oct. 31, but Netflix already has some news about a potential third season. The political thriller was a hit the second it debuted on Netflix, and the streaming service seems to like what it’s bringing them because they just announced that it will be returning for a third season.

No plot details have been released about the upcoming third season, which makes sense since we don’t even know exactly what happens in season 2 just yet.

Following the news that the show would be continuing into season 3, series creator Debora Cahn shared her reaction: “After an amazing summer shooting in the U.K., we brought London home to NY. Best of both worlds — filming in Brooklyn. We love doing this. We’re so excited to get to keep going.”

The series stars Keri Russell as a career diplomat who finds herself thrust into the spotlight after she’s considered to be a potential replacement for the current vice president. As she manages her ambassadorship in the U.K., she’s also deciding whether she wants to stay married to a fellow diplomat who has had a more high-profile career to date.

Season 2 of The Diplomat left things in a state of upheaval following a cliffhanger car-bombing, and the details of that car-bombing have yet to be fully resolved. However season 2 plays out, fans of the series can rest assured that any cliffhangers at the end of that season will be addressed in season 3, whenever we get that.

A Christopher Nolan classic is headed back to theaters this fall

Few directors have more thoroughly captured the recognition of the public than Christopher Nolan, and with good reason. Now, Paramount Pictures has announced that Nolan's sci-fi epic Interstellar is returning to theaters for its 10-year anniversary. The film will be returning to theaters for an IMAX Exclusive Limited Engagement on Dec. 6, 2024, with tickets going on sale on Nov. 7.

On top of that, a Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra HD of the film is set to arrive later that same week, on Dec. 10. This new edition was made with Nolan's participation and approval, and includes both a Blu-Ray and 4K Ultra HD version of the film. It also includes reproductions of five costume patches, five theatrical poster reproductions, and more than two hours of new and original behind-the-scenes material, among other goodies.

Will Netlfix’s ‘KAOS’ be getting a second season?

The series followed a modern adaptation of the Greek gods.

After just a single season, it seems KAOS is done at Netflix, according to reporting in Variety. The show, which starred Jeff Goldblum as the Greek god Zeus, a version of the god of gods who is begins to worry that he may not be as supreme as he originally believed. The show's creator, Charlie Corvell, was also the man behind The End of the F**king World, had previously hinted that there might be more story to mine in the series, and said he was optimistic about the chances for renewal.

“I think anything is possible. My dream was three seasons. I’ve got many ideas and a strong sense of what I’d want to do with it," he said during an interview with Cosmopolitan U.K. “There’s definitely more. I also didn’t want to do an ending that was a total cliffhanger. I hope that it feels satisfying as a season one in its own right, and there’s always hope for more. Because I really would love to do more and work with those actors and that team. It was a bit of a dream come true.”
