LOEWE and On have created the ultimate luxury running sneaker – again

Loewe x On's newest release

When the first round of LOEWE and On’s collaboration was announced, there was no doubt that the shoe would pack luxury and technology in one running sneaker. And while the shoe managed to do so, it did so with an unexpected subtly. Instead of out-of-the-box colors or prints, the two companies opted for a low-profile colorway that fit perfectly in any closet. For the Fall/Winter 2024, LOEWE and On are throwing minimalism out and bringing out the bold hue tones. In this new drop, the brands are focusing on Cloudtilt, giving runners a trendier and more statement option for their next run.

Unlike their first collaboration on the Cloudtilt, this new round sees new colorways of the On sneakers, which are meant to amaze. Joining their muted hues, the brands unveiled dark sand and bright orange options. While the new colors offer a wider range of possibilities for wearers, the technology and comfort in the Cloudtilt continue to bring back its fans. The Cloudtilt sneakers are built with a knitted sock-like fit and no-tie laces, making them ideal for accessibility and comfort. Inside the sneakers come equipped with On’s patent CloudTec® Phase technology, which offers a high-rebound sole and a lightweight foam for maximum stability and fit. While completely useable as a running sneaker, it’s also a stylish everyday shoe that can easily transition from use to use. Available now at LOEWE and ON’s respective sites for $490, there’s no doubt these new colors will satisfy plenty of new closets.

What you need to know about New Balance's new sneaker
New balance shoes on shelves

When the dad shoe trend came into the spotlight, New Balance’s sneakers became the most iconic shoe at the moment. Not only did the brand’s chunky design provide ample focus but it proved that comfort could be chic. However, these ‘dad’ shoes didn’t provide the luxury or sophistication needed to qualify under the ‘quiet luxury’ trend. However, Loro Piana is taking the famed New Balance sneaker and giving it an Italian leather makeover. With the 990v6, Loro Piana and New Balance are making the chunky shoe into a classic and luxurious design with craftsmanship and quality to prove it. While this partnership is on-trend and modern, it comes with quality that spans years.
Loro Piana and New Balance’s casual luxury

Unlike your regular New Balance sneakers, the 990v6 is made of premium Italian materials that make it worth the $1500 price tag. A soft grey nubuck and tonal mesh panels outline the shoe, providing a soft tactile material and breathability for the user. Providing a splash of color are burgundy accents of Loro Piana’s rare Pecora Nool along the heel and tongue, giving the design a moody and luxurious feel. On the inside, the shoe doesn’t lose value as it comes ready with New Balance’s ENCAP midsole technology.

model wearing Kith x Armani loafer

When Kith and Giorgio Armani announced their collaboration, there was no doubt it would offer sophisticated footwear for the fall and winter seasons. With both bringing their brand identities, this partnership has created three stellar pieces that belong in any fall closet. Coming together for their “Archetype” campaign, the two brands have dove deep into luxury. For this campaign, the two have tapped director Martin Scorsese as the face of their collaboration, showcasing the artist archetype. Besides the high caliber of names participating in this partnership, the real stars are the three new pieces that deliver quality craftsmanship, inspired by Mr. Armani.
Kith x Giorgio Armani’s “The Archetype”

As part of the campaign, three new shoes have been announced, including a chukka boot, a hiker boot, and a loafer. Released in a soft beige, the chukka boot option is made in a suede upper and shearling lining. Kith and Armani branding can also be found on the footbed and pull tab. The chukka boot also features a leather-welted rubber outsole that provides a rugged look to the design. For the hiker boot, users will find a new silhouette featuring a rich brown Italian leather upper and shearling lining. Branding can be found on the side, tongue, and footbed. Including a leather-welted EVA midsole, the hiker boot is also a comfortable option for those needing more support. Rounding out the collection is a sophisticated black loafer style made with premium Italian black leather. Unlike the boot designs, the loafer comes with a hand-stitched Armani emblem on the vamp and debossed Kith branding underneath.

If there’s one collaboration that’s delivered time after time, it’s the partnership between Grace Wales Bonner and Adidas. The brains behind the revival of the Samba sneakers, Wales Bonner is once again bringing an iconic Adidas design into the mainstream. This time around, the British designer is taking on the Adios Neftenga, one of Adidas’ most iconic shoes that was never released to the public. First seen in 2008, the Adios Neftenga was introduced to audiences when worn by Ethiopian runner Haile Gebrselassie during the Berlin Marathon of that year. When Gebrselassie took first place, the Adios Neftenga officially became one of the fastest running shoes in the world. Unfortunately for enthusiasts, the shoe was never released to the public.
Adidas’ Adios Neftenga

With Wales Bonner’s help, Adidas is releasing the Adios Neftenga for the first time to audiences in a reboot that’s almost exact to the original. In this iteration, the Adios Neftenga comes equipped with the brand’s famed Adiprene foam midsole, an exceptional feature that helps against bounce and adds comfort. Added features include suede piping along the front and Wales Bonner’s labeling on the tongue. Rounding out this release, the Adios Neftenga comes in the iconic yellow and black colorway that Gabrselassie first wore. A faithful redesign, this new sneaker is a great chance for those who wished for a release in 2008.
