Keanu Reeves might be done with John Wick, but that doesn’t mean the universe is over. We have Ballerina coming in 2025, and now, Collider is reporting that Donnie Yen is in talks to return as the master assassin he played in John Wick: Chapter 4.

Yen played a blind assassin named Caine in the film, and in a new interview, he suggested that Caine will be back.

“I think both the fans, as well as the studio, want this to happen, and we’ll see. I don’t know, Steve. I can only tell you that much. But yes, we are talking, and we are talking intimately. We’ll see what happens,” Yen said.

“But at the same time, I hold responsibility as well as a pressure that I don’t want to ruin the franchise,” he added. “I try to do my best to bring something fresh to the franchise itself. I don’t want to bring down the expectations for the fans. I try to do my best, like always.”

At this point, though, things are still in their earliest stages, and there are no guarantees of anything. Yen is a legendary figure in the world of action cinema, and he clearly wants to be careful before diving head-first into a new project.

“I have to flesh it out. I have a couple of ideas in my mind of how I would like the story to go. But we’ll see,” he said. “I don’t want to give away too much because I don’t know if I’m in that position to give that away. But they’ve been very persistent, and they’ve been very passionate about me taking on this project.”

A new ‘Star Wars’ trilogy is in the works and will feature new characters
It remains unclear what the plot of this new trilogy will be
Star wars

We're getting more Star Wars on the big screen. Variety is reporting that Lucasfilm has a new trilogy of movies in the works from X-Men producer Simon Kinberg. Kinberg is set to write all three films and serve as a producer alongside Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy.

This new trilogy will feature new characters following the conclusion of the sequel trilogy that starred Daisy Ridley, John Boyeg, Adam Driver, and Oscar Isaac. Deadline initially reported that this new trilogy would be a continuation of the story that first began with 1977's first film focused on Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia, but Lucasfilm is now disputing that notion.

A ‘Jack Ryan’ movie is in the works at Amazon and is set to star John Krasinski
The movie is capitalizing on one of the most popular shows in Amazon's catalog.
John Krasinski in Jack Ryan

Hollywood has been attempting to adapt Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan character to screens of various sizes for decades. While some of those adaptations have been more successful than others, Jack Ryan, Amazon Prime Video's series that moves the CIA analyst into the present day, has been a consistent hint for the streaming service, and was one of the first series they debuted.

Now, Variety is reporting that the studio is working on a film adaptation that will bring back star John Krasinski, as well as Wendell Pierce, who also played a central role in the series. Michael Kelly is currently in negotiation to reprise his role. Andrew Bernstein, who was an executive producer on the show's second season and also directed it, will direct the film from a script written by Aaron Rabin, who served as a writer on the show's fourth season.

Zombies, drama, and more: How do the Walking Dead spin-offs stack up?
Is the original series still the best?
Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.

The Walking Dead started as one man's comic book vision. Robert Kirkman's graphic novels were brash and bold and didn't back away from violence. When AMC greenlit a TV adaptation, the series came forward with the same mentality. The Walking Dead catapulted zombie fiction onto the small screen and allowed it to explode in front of a historically large cable audience. Fans loved the characters who tried to help, and often hurt, one another in a quest for survival and the ratings were so large that The Walking Dead spinoffs are still being created years later.

Anytime you have seven series in one franchise, some variations will surpass others. AMC has done a decent enough job identifying which characters deserved another chance after the original show. These spinoffs have allowed superfans to indulge in their favorite post-apocalyptic universe for longer than expected. These are the best Walking Dead series, ranked from worst to best.
