Tucked away in a Federal Revival Style building built in 1825 that was a former artists’ loft located on the corner of Broome Street and Crosby Street, The Broome is like an oasis in the middle of SoHo, which in case you didn’t know, is one of the city’s most stylish neighborhoods, and filled with luxury boutiques, see-and-be-seen restaurants, and lots of people watching.

Once inside, be prepared to get impressed by The Broome’s art collection, which is filled with works by Chaz Guest — a favorite of Barack Obama, Jean Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. Then, head out of the lobby and into a nice courtyard that makes you feel like you’re in Europe. There are only 14 rooms inside The Broome, making it feel more like you’re a New Yorker living in an intimate apartment building and less like you’re staying a hotel in the middle of the Big Apple.
