I am a lover of a handwritten note, and every year I treat myself to new stationary. To receive a monogrammed set with my favorites pens or these precious pencils would be the most thoughtful and sweet gift. G. Lalo has always been my favorite company (ever since I used to teach calligraphy, gift wrapping, and book binding at The Paper Source in Beverly Hills during my audition days several years ago).
