How long do you go before you wash your jeans? We know that those of you who either want to keep your denim looking brand new and those of you who don’t do laundry regularly probably go through long periods without washing your jeans. That makes for the potential for smelly pants. One of our favorite grooming labels, the California-based Juniper Ridge was probably thinking about that problem when they developed Desert Denim Wash, which isn’t actually a wash for your denim, but rather a strong fragrance that’s crafted in small, seasonal batches and smells like “you’ve spent all day among the wildflowers in California’s high-desert country” that you can use to revive your jeans after daily wearing. It’s like Febreze for The Manual man.
The fragrance contains notes of desert cedar, pine pitch, sun washed granite, Mojave sunflower, yucca bloom, greasewood, and sawdust.
“It’s just like lying on your sleeping pad after a campfire dinner in the warm-air desert woodlands of the Mojave with a sky full of bright desert stars.” explains Hall Newbegin, founder of Juniper Ridge, on the company’s website. “Those desert trees and plants- desert piñon, cedar, desert lavender, ambrosia – just hunker down all day in the sun. But then when it cools down in the evening, they spring back to life and open up with this gorgeous, intoxicating resinous smell. That’s what’s in there — not an imitation of it, but the real stuff from that place!“
So use it to freshen up your room, or to actually spruce up your jeans in between washing. After wearing your jeans day after day, your friends and girlfriend will thank you.
