Some gifts we receive from our fathers are forgotten, while others stay with us forever. The latter is the case for Dion Nash, who, at age 13, received a framed copy of Rudyard Kipling’s poem, “If,” from his father. At the time, Nash was at the rebellious age of early adolescence, so he scrawled all over it and threw it in a drawer.
