Sometimes, bags just have it all. Like the one in this picture, chilling out on a chair in the Adirondacks, over looking Lake Placid, NY—site of the 1980 Olympics’ Team USA Hockey underdog triumph over the Soviets.

This lucky bit of heavy duty navy 18 oz canvas (who’s really just missing a beer) was hewn into the replica of a rare hockey equipment bag made by the now defunct “Christian” Minnesota hockey brand made for Team USA.

The guys behind Streaker Sports—a vintage-inspired sportswear brand, saw the bag for auction but its uniqueness drove up the bidding and they were unable to walk away with it. Instead, they teamed up with makers of fine bags, Hudson Sutler, to look for some of the most quality leather, canvas, and antique brass zipper around to make their own.

What they found, they turned into something strong enough that you can actually throw your hockey equipment into (and thus almost anything) but still has highest-bidder panache.

Which is probably why they placed it on a chair and treated it like a supermodel. She unzips, right this way.
