Stag Provisions Teams up with Faherty for a Workwear Inspired Collab

There have been quite a few menswear collaborations surfacing over the past year. None, however, have combined old-fashioned workwear inspired patterning and construction with modern details and design like the latest from Stag and Faherty.

Stag Provisions for Men is one of the finest men’s apparel and lifestyle stores in the country. Started in Austin, Texas in 2009, the brand has now expanded beyond their Austin flagship to Dallas, Houston, and Venice, California. Selling top-shelf clothing brands, grooming essentials, accessories, and home goods, Stag has been a one-stop-shop for men in the know for the past half-decade. And now, Stag has partnered with Faherty, a relatively recent menswear line founded by twin brothers Mike and Alex Faherty with casual surf-life as their aesthetic inspiration, for their Stax X Faherty Collection.

“We’ve been lucky enough to carry the Faherty line since they launched their brand, and they continue to blow us away season after season with their original designs, fabrics, prints, silhouettes, and overall design chops,” says Don Weir, co-owner of Stag. We’ve gotten to be great friends with Mike & Alex over the years, and because we approach things with similar but varying aesthetics, we wanted to give a collaboration a shot, and we couldn’t be happier with how all the pieces turned out.”

As the lead designer for Faherty, Mike Faherty took inspiration from vintage workwear silhouettes, but streamlined and modernized the fit and form, all while keeping the knock-out vintage details such as horn buttons and authentic Talon zippers (the original and first zipper).

“STAG is one of the best men’s stores in America and we share a similar point of view in what clothes should look like and feel like,” says Mike Faherty.  “While they offer an ever-expanding array of looks, STAG tends to specialize in lots of workwear-inspired designs and we focus on surf-inspired looks, so we wanted to see what kind of interesting pieces we could create by combining the aesthetics. The results are some really unique pieces that wear well wherever you are — be it on the beach or in the heart of Texas.”

Indigo CPO Jacket, $198

CPO stands for Chief Petty Officer, a rank in the navy that wore a well-known, bad-ass, minimalist jacket. This upgraded version is indigo dyed, made with 100 percent cotton, and features genuine horn anchor buttons. The shirt is designed to age and fade just like your favorite pair of denim and makes the perfect, thick base layer for those cold winter mornings.

Presidio Reversible Shirt Jacket, $288

Who doesn’t love a reversible jacket? You get two jackets for the price of one! And with the Presidio Reversible Shirt Jacket you get more than that. With an interior brushed cotton, yarn-dyed jacquard pattern inspired by Beacon blankets from the ’30s and a quilted canvas shell, you’ll be as comfortable in the outdoors as you will on the subway. With functional pockets on both sides and custom reversible snaps, the Presidio is the perfect dual-use winter travel outwear.

For Davis Hooded Storm Reversible Jacket, $268

This jacket is, like the Presidio, fully reversible, but this one features a classic canteen stripe interior with a traditional diamond quilt pattern. The jacket also sports kangaroo hand pockets, a reversible vintage brass Talon zipper, a functional three-piece hood with custom drawcord, and a rugged canvas exterior shell that, like the CPO jacket will wear and fade over time, developing a vintage-like patina that is uniquely your own.

Big Bend Down Vest, $268

You can’t go wrong with a down vest…especially one with a throwback design reminiscent of both 1950s canteen stripe patterns and 1970s snowmobile vest cuts and silhouettes. This Big Bend down vest features a brass Talon zipper and pull, a two-part dye process that allows the vest to fade and wear over time (again, make it your own), and is insulated with down, making this perfect for late-fall and early-winter layering.

The limited edition STAG x Faherty collection is sold exclusively at all STAG & Faherty stores, and online at Stagprovisions.com and Fahertybrand.com.

Mark Wahlberg moves the headquarters of his fitness brand to San Diego
Municipal Store Opening

Mark Wahlberg has been one of Hollywood's most prominent and sought-after actors since he made waves in Boogie Nights. Since then, he has led comedies like Ted and The Other Guys and dramas like Four Brothers and The Departed. But he has been best known for being one of the top action stars in the business. From The Italian Job and Shooter to Lone Survivor and Mile 22, Wahlberg has proven himself to be one of the most capable in the game. A vital part of doing the job of an action star is getting in sensational shape. Now that he is seen as an incredibly fit leading man, he began helping others get in the same shape by launching a fitness brand. The new Municipal Flagship Store has a new home in San Diego and is bringing action star fitness to America's Finest City.
Bet on yourself

When Mark Wahlberg founded the brand in 2019 alongside Harry Arnett and Stephen Levinson, they brought fitness to the people of West Hollywood and globally online. The goal of Municipal has always been to offer the best clothing and shoes to people trying to be unstoppable all day long. The second store opening in Oceanside is bringing that goal to the southern part of the state along the beach. The store isn't just about clothing, shoes, and accessories. The new store will also feature a coffee shop for a post-workout pick-me-up, a haircut to ensure you look just as good above the neck as below, and a lounge to center yourself before and after the workout. With two stores under their belt, it is only a matter of time before they expand over more of the country.

Flag & Anthem outfits country legend with Desert Son
Dierks Bentley still wears his collection on stage six years later
Dierks Bentley in Flag & Anthem flannel

There is a deep connection between country music lovers and other staples, like a good flannel, hats, tees, and the flag and national anthem. So when a country music star teams up with Flag & Anthem, it gets noticed. But most of the time, these collaborations are one-offs that fade out in a few months or a season. But the Flag & Anthem Desert Son collection with Dierks Bentley is still going strong six years later.

“Dierks’ lifestyle perfectly embodies our brand,” said Flag & Anthem co-founder Brad Gartman. “There is a strong synergy between his fans and our customers. We see Dierks and Desert Son as a natural integration with Flag & Anthem and look forward to a long partnership.” And a long partnership is what they got.
