This Football Boot is Actually Made from Football Leather

To commemorate this Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots, Thursday Boot Company is unveiling a limited edition Football Boot.

The Football Boot is based off the brand’s Moc-Toe Diplomat design, featuring a rounded toe and a thick, textured sole. Manufactured from start to finish in Manhattan, the boot is built with genuine football leather and features handmade, white-stitched laces to mimic the lines of a classic pigskin.

“As football fans, we knew we wanted to do something with football leather for a while,” explains Thursday Boot founder Nolan Walsh. “One afternoon I was just playing around with the concept and thought the white stitching on our Diplomat moccasin would be the perfect compliment to the leather.”

“The football leather stretched out looks like a fine pebbled leather and the colors just clicked perfectly.”

Coincidentally, the brand’s largest leather supplier also makes the leather for NFL footballs, so the evolution from concept to physical sample was a seamless process.

The Football Boot retails for $299 and was unveiled on the Thursday Boot website yesterday. Though there are a limited number of pairs available, Walsh says this isn’t the last time the brand will be launching a novelty boot.

“We have a bunch of concepts in progress and welcome ideas if people want to email us!  We’ll do something similar again this summer, but only time will tell what makes the cut for official release.”

For now, Thursday Boot boasts a diverse collection of men’s footwear, from practical suede chukka-style boots to sleek leather chelsea boots and everything in between. Prices range from $199 to $249.

Although it’s hard to replicate the same impact as the original design, JJJJound is taking on this iconic silhouette and creating a new sleek design. Although much of the silhouette doesn’t change, this collaboration adds new touches and materials that elevate it to another level. A more sophisticated look for the Superstar sneaker, this collaboration is perfect for those wanting to infuse their street style into any occasion.
JJJJound x adidas Superstar 90 “Made in Japan”

Donning an all-black look, the collaborative Superstar sneaker uses JJJJound’s recognized Japanese leather for a soft and elegant look. Rather than add new features to the original shoe, this collaboration sees fewer details for a scaled-back appearance. In this latest iteration, the Superstar sneaker appears without its tongue logo and sans emblems on the heel tabs. Besides removing these features, the text “JJJJound” replaces the golden “Superstar” text along the side of the iconic three white stripes. A lowkey and subtle switch-up on a classic sneaker, this collaborative shoe draws a statement from how sleek and modern its appearance is. Ideal for those looking for a more sophisticated everyday sneaker, this collaboration is set to hit the shelves on February 1, 2025. Fans looking to purchase these sleek sneakers can do so via JJJJound’s web store.
