Zero Motorcycles is giving U.S. dealers and customers the chance to save if they order 2026 Zero XB or XE electric motorcycles by May 18. Zero will raise the prices on both models on May 19, with the new pricing structure for U.S. deliveries to be announced later.

Global economics behind price hikes

According to Zero, the price changes are due to new “tariffs and recent changes in the global economic landscape.”

The original prices for Zero’s entry-level electric bikes were $4,195 for the XB and $6,495 for the XE. Customers who have already reserved one of those bikes and anyone who places a new reservation by May 18, 2025, will still pay the original price.

Customers who reserve a Zero XB or XE after May 18, 2025, will pay the new, as-yet-not-determined price. The message is clear: avoid the price hikes by acting now.

Zero also announced the delivery schedules of the XB and XE motorcycles. Deliveries for all reservations before May 1, 2025, will start in the Summer of 2025. Zero estimates that reservations for the XB and XE made on or after May 1, 2025, will be delivered in the Fall 2025.

For international customers, Zero stated that buyers in Canada, Europe, and the rest of the world, except for the United States, will not have price increases. The reasoning behind holding prices in the rest of the world is that other countries will not be affected as much as the United States by global trade relationships and related tariffs.

They may not “make ‘em” like they used to, but vehicles have gotten better in every department this year, according to JD Power. The data analytics company reports that scores have increased across all ten categories of its U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study for the first time in a decade.

Frank Hanley, senior director of auto benchmarking at J.D. Power points out that: “Manufacturers have made significant advancements that continue to redefine the vehicle ownership experience and have become more adept at translating innovation into meaningful customer engagement. However, the study finds that owners of new models have lower levels of satisfaction with vehicle setup and startup—as well as infotainment systems—compared with owners of carryover models.”
