How to select power tool deals on Prime Day
There is one essential question to ask yourself here: Do I want some tools or a lot of tools?
If you just want a single tool, there is only one important thing to keep in mind: The most basic tools often come with their battery, with the drill/driver plus battery and charger bundle being among the best value offerings you can get to get started in the series.
When you buy tools in larger kits, you save money by getting a bundle and will generally always get one or two batteries for that kit. If you’re a regular power tool user that has a large amount of work or hobbies that will require a variety of tools, and you have several missing pieces or want to start fresh, look at kits.
How we chose these power tool Prime Day deals
The power tools above were chosen for their brand recognition, great prices, and giving you some variety in choice. While the second two really aren’t worth a second glance in looking at, you might see “brand recognition” and hesitate. However, with battery-operated power tools, it really does pay to be a brand loyalist. Why? The batteries carry over. For this reason, we focused on Bosch, DeWalt, and Milwaukee (brands we know you love) but also threw in some Black+Decker for the intense affordability at this time. As this article evolves over the course of the sales event, expect a similar philosophy in deals picks to remain.
We’re also not above looking outside of Amazon for good deals. For the first batch of deals, for example, we were able to find the best deals on Milwaukee tools from Home Depot.
