I had the chance to review the ECOFLOW DELTA2 personally back when Hurricane Ian was spiraling off the Florida coast. That seems prescient with Helene now headed up north. One of the things I pointed out in that review, that I always like to recommend, is that everyone should have a backup power solution handy. Even if you’re not in Hurricane Alley, outages happen and you never know how long they’ll persist. A backup power solution, like a portable power station, can really save your hide if and when that happens.

As a power station, the ECOFLOW DELTA2 has a 1024-watt-hour capacity and supports 1800 watts of output. That’s on par with traditional outdoor generators in terms of power delivery, so you could effectively power virtually all of your appliances. As for the capacity, that’s enough to power a small 120-watt fridge for 7 to 14 hours. That could get you through a major outage without any spoiled foods.

Plus, you can always expand the capacity as needed. Adding on an extra battery or two will take you from 1 kilowatt-hour up to 3 kilowatt-hours. Maxed out, that’s plenty of power for camping, RVs, or even home backup for various appliances and more.
