“This collab was a great opportunity to partner with a brand that shared very similar values as our own, says Jesse Price, VP Global Marketing & Brand Strategy of Alpha Industries. As iconic heritage brands, we both understood the duty and dedication that comes with honoring our respective histories. Additionally, we both share an innovative approach to contemporary fashion that infuses a modern spirit on top of classic style. Combining the ageless silhouette of the Alpha MA-1 with Ben Sherman’s signature gingham lining produced a truly eye-catching twist on an American military classic.”

The first of the three styles available comes in a classic sage green with a navy tipping on the cuff and hem. The second style follows the same construction in a replica blue with contrasting grey tipping, while the final style incorporates both color ways with a replica blue body and sage green arms.

The specialized heavy satin twill is hard-wearing, crafted from authentic military specification nylon, and is water resistant.

The jacket embodies trademarks from both brands–the Ben Sherman Harrington pocket tab with the quintessential Alpha Industries sleeve pocket and leather zip puller. And let’s face it, it’s time to start thinking jackets as the dog days of summer wind down.

So what’s next for Alpha Industries? “The Ben Sherman MA-1s are just one of the collaborations we are releasing in Fall 2015,” Price teases. “Look for other collabs with brands such as Burton and UNDFTD, Manhattan Portage and Stussy.”

Prices start $250.00, the collection is now available at www.alphaindustries.com.

Flannel folded

Let's face it: We all want everything in our lives to be easier than they already are. If we could design our lives we would wake up and the coffee is already brewed. Breakfast is already made. We would be able to go through our lives without having to spend time on all of the most mundane tasks that litter our day. If you are anything like us, one of the most mundane and dreaded tasks that litter our day and are the bane of our existence is the laundry. In particular, once the laundry comes out of the dryer, you must make that trip from the basket to its final storage space.

Alas, the world is still such that we don't have robots doing our household chores for us so we have to learn how to do things for ourselves. One of the most important parts of doing your laundry is folding the garments so they are unwrinkled when you want to wear them. Here is how to fold a shirt the best way to keep it wearable whenever you want to look your best.
