Thank Dwyane Wade for Away’s Sleek New Aluminum Luggage

Let’s be honest, being an NBA All-Star and Miami Heat player doesn’t have many downsides. You make tons of money, have adoring fans, are beamed into millions of Americans’ homes during the season, and, you’re based in one of America’s coolest cities. Well, not all the time. The team does have to travel — a lot. So it’s no surprise that Dwyane Wade takes point when it comes to his luggage. Partnering up with beloved suitcase and luggage brand, Away, Wade has created, without a doubt, the best looking iteration of the hard-sided, clam-shell suitcase the company has created to date.

Wrapping each of Away’s four sizes of suitcase in a matte black aluminum brings the same sense of sharp, gentleman-meets-high-roller style Wade sports off the court, where he’s often found donning a slim cut, black suits, blazers, button-downs, killer sneaks, and oxfords. Wade’s combination of athleticism and energy along with his tropical home base of Miami inspired the cases’ interior abstract tropical lining and custom logo wheels.

Every Away suitcase offer multiple features that, in addition to the sleek design and appearance, has made Away a favorite of most of The Manual’s staff. Some of the features we love are the unbreakable polycarbonate shell (because we know baggage handlers aren’t the most gentle of airline professionals), the ejectable battery pack that has saved us more times than we can count, a TSA-approved combination lock that makes us feel a little more secure, 360-degree Hinomoto wheels for super streamlined and smooth airport maneuvering, an interior compression system (to fit those last few souvenirs in), and a hidden laundry bag to keep the foul-scented away from the fresh.

WAY OF MAN gives men the two things they all want
Get your denim and your spirits four times a year easier than ever
WAY OF MAN pouring

Men only want two things, and they aren't what you are thinking. They are way more awesome. A man has two best friends, a great pair of denim, and the perfect spirit to make a great cocktail. You have a few boxes to check off as you look for the denim you want to call your go-to for the rest of your life. A great fit, a dark color, and the kind of durability that will last a lifetime. You also have a few boxes to check off when you shop for your go-to whiskey. A dark but clear color, a complex and layered aroma, and a well-balanced flavor. While these two endeavors seem like separate ventures, one company is looking to do all the work for you. The WAY OF MAN subscription service wants to send you the best of both every three months.
Raw Denim x Rare Whiskey

The mission of both industries always focuses on the masterful attention to detail needed to create top-shelf whiskey and the best denim on the market. The WAY OF MAN believes that no one has ever brought these two things together and that they have one thing in common: Stories. The best stories begin gathered around friends and family, often while wearing your favorite jeans and having a great cocktail. This subscription service attempts to bring them both together as much as possible. There is a waitlist right now, but once you sign up for it, your stories are only a few months away.

Urbane & Gallant revamped with Project Runway champion
Jeffrey Sebelia revamps his brand in LA
Urbane & Gallant

There is a lot in a name. Some names you hear, and you know all you need to know about the person or the brand. Urbane & Gallant has a name that screams all you need to know about the clothing you're about to get. To be urbane is the mark of a gentleman, a man who is courteous and sophisticated. A man who is gallant exudes chivalry and bravery. The two sentiments together give the image of the kind of man we should all want to be. Urbane & Gallant is revamping with the talents of Project Runway Season 3 champion, Jeffrey Sebelia, with these ideas specifically in mind. “We create clothing for men who desire more than just style—they seek meaning, says Sebelia. "Masculinity combines strength, care, and the desire to elevate others. At Urbane & Gallant, every piece is a testament to these ideals.”

Patrick Schwarzenegger killed the double breasted look for The White Lotus Season 3 premiere
The White Lotus star killed on the red carpet with a Banana Republic suit
Patrick Schwarzenegger at White Lotus Season 3 premier outfit hero

Patrick Schwarzenegger has a relatively recognizable name. You may or may not have heard of his father, The Terminator himself. He is not waiting around living off the former governor's name; he is carving out a name for himself with his own appearances in big movies. From smaller parts in The Benchwarmers (2006) and Grown Ups 2 (2013) to more prominent roles in The Long Road Home (2017) and The Terminal List (2022), he has started to become a star in his own right. His newest role may be his most popular as he shocked the world by putting more on display than many of us were expecting. What we can't stop thinking about, though, is his stellar look from the premiere from the popular brand, Banana Republic.
1940s inspiration on the red carpet

Banana Republic has some of the best and most accessible suiting for the guy who needs one quickly. However, this piece worn by Schwarzenegger is a custom job and gives us a precise feel and reminds us of something from a bygone era. The suit fabric, sourced from the Marzotto mill in Northern Italy, is from the mill's archives and inspired by 1940s wool mohair. The fit of the suit gives us a modern version of the 40s gangster double-breasted classic. The modern high-twist wool provides the fabric with a dry hand and structure, reinforcing the brand's commitment to impeccable quality, rich textures, and modern versatility. Put that on Patrick Schwarzenegger, and you have the makings of something people won't stop talking about.
