Wear a Watch Like Carmelo Anthony

Ask anybody who wears a luxury timepiece why they wear it and they’ll tell you the same thing; a watch isn’t so much about telling time these days; it’s about style and status. Despite having the time on their cell phones, most men of a certain stature still wear a timepiece. New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony likes watches so much, that he co-founded Haute Time, the number one luxury watch resource. During NBA All-Star weekend, Anthony and Dom Pérignon hosted a late-night, post-game “Lights Out” (the nickname Anthony gave to Dom Pérignon’s Luminous bottles) bash with Haute Time at the Gilded Lily. Swizz Beatz, who DJd the party, even had to charter a G650 jet, which happened to be the only one allowed to land during the storm that night. Anthony wore an IWC timepiece that night, while all his friends wore pieces by Patek Philippe, Hublot, and more.

Norqain LE Freedom 60 GMT Bronze

Norqain emerged onto the watch scene in 2018, and has offered stylish timepieces like the Freedom 60 GMT collection. Every single timepiece that’s featured in the collection has a retro-like aesthetic that will take you back to the ‘60s. Now, though, there's a new offering: the Norqain Freedom 60 GMT 40mm Limited Edition.

The new Freedom GMT watch comes with a bronze dial that stands out thanks to the brown hue. And one of the most striking features is the 100m water-resistant brown casing, which is accentuated by a satin finish that makes the surface look a little bit shiny. Hour markers also have a bronze-like hue that complements the casing.

That's apparent in the design of this new watch, which is a limited edition version of the iconic Perrelet Turbine.

Think of it as a contemporary timepiece that merges three worlds into one—horology, art, and industrial culture. One of the most striking details is the yellow sign at the center of the dial. It’s complemented by a unique message—keep hands clear.
