Ok we are going to drop the bomb upfront, these Simon Miller jeans retail for around $500.
Now we will tell you why. First off they are a limited edition sold exclusively at the uber swanky Bergdorf Goodman up there in New Yawk City (we happen to be huge fans of Goodman, their men’s store). Also, only 10 pairs per style were produced.
Replica is a series of vintage inspired jeans, individually hand distressed and produced in limited quantities. The collection utilizes a custom persimmon-treated 13.5 oz Japanese selvedge denim from Nihon Menpu mills (this is theeee place to get denim, people) and is constructed in Los Angeles with authentic sewing details including a deconstructed patch and advanced wash techniques. Lastly, each piece is finished with a waxed canvas label hand indigo dyed by Noon Design Studio in Los Angeles. Noon Design uses only natural dyes made from roots, bark, flowers, wood, biowaste (oh!) and insects (ooooh!).
As you can see from the images above, these jeans have had some serious work done to them. It was all inspired by the owners travels. Jake and Daniel discovered a vintage pair of Lee jeans in a flea market out West and were determined to replicate the jean for the modern dude. The more old vintage pairs they found, the bigger the dream became. Other replicas will be available down the line so if you miss the boat on this run, stay tuned for the next wave of awesomeness.
