Here’s a tip, find some time this weekend and head over to your local Gap.
The classic American brand, best known for its jeans and relaxed style, has teamed up with some of the most talented emerging designers in menswear. For a limited time, Gap will feature exclusive collections designed by GQ’s four Best New Menswear Designers in America 2013 – Aviator Nation, Baldwin, Bespoken, and Ernest Alexander. Each designer was tasked with developing a capsule collection that brings their own signature style to iconic Gap pieces. Translation: cool designer duds at crazy good prices.
“We wanted to do something that still felt very us but in an accessible and not too serious way – refined, approachable and all-American,” Ernest Sabine, founder of Ernest Alexander, told us at the GQxGap launch event in New York City.
You can expect to find menswear with a mix of rock-and-roll meets Saville Row from NYC based Bespoken and laid back surf-inspired gear from California label Aviator Nation. Ernest Alexander will showcase his rugged yet refined handcrafted goods, while Baldwin delivers modern denim wear from the heart of Kansas City.
Standout pieces include the Bespoken suede baseball jacket and the Aviator Nation reversible puffer vest. Plus, you won’t want to miss out on any of the Ernest Alexander bags.
With prices ranging from $30-$348 for accessories to outerwear, make sure to check out the select Gap retailers carrying the collection or head over to gap.com before supplies sells out.
