The Classic Clarks Wallabee Boot Just Got a Serious Upgrade

Image used with permission by copyright holder

The Clarks Wallabee Boot is a silhouette that absolutely needs no introduction. It’s a certified menswear classic. And yet, the adage “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” actually doesn’t apply to the new Clarks Originals x Haven Wallabee Boot, a recently introduced collaboration that’s here to give your late spring, early summer footwear rotation a serious upgrade.

The Clarks Wallabee Boot was developed as the world’s first comfort shoe. The latest iteration, while retaining all the comfort and style of the Wallabee, is decidedly more modern and streetwear-inspired.  Haven brings forth the streetwear component, with luxe silhouettes and distressed denim shirts featuring in its core line; Clarks, on the other hand, brings a dash of iconic British style, plus the original Wallabee silhouette (now favored by style impresarios like director Wes Anderson). It’s a style that’s been around for decades, so it’s refreshing to see it receive a tactical, military-inspired update that allows you to wear your Wallabee Boots even when it gets rainy and breezy this spring and summer.

The Haven X Clarks Originals Wallabee Boot takes the silhouette you know and love, and gives it a tough update, starting with the use of ballistic nylon side panels where you normally might find soft suede. Make no mistake, these are a pair of rain-ready boots you won’t be able to get enough of, especially given the sleek black-and-olive or all-black colorways.

GORE-TEX comes into the equation via a full lining and an easy-to-wear gusseted tongue that offers both extreme breathability and waterproof protection. Now, you likely have an idea as to how you might wear your “normal” Clarks Wallabee Boots (with slim light wash jeans and a white Oxford shirt, or else with a short-sleeve henley and olive chinos ), but how to wear the Haven X Clarks Originals Wallabee Boot? Great question.

These call for styling touches a little more rugged and city-ready – think slim black denim and a black tee to go with either the all-black or olive-and-black options. Or go with straight fit chinos and a denim shirt, buttoned to the top and paired with the olive-and-black option. Throw on a black anorak, and you’re ready to take on a rainy day in the city. We think if you open up your mind enough, this new take on the Clarks Wallabee might be as iconic as the original.

This Aussie Brand Has Been Making Some of the Best Boots for 150 Years
Blundstone

A 150-year-old fashion brand is a remarkable milestone in today’s click-a-second world — especially in this age of menswear. Australian boot brand Blundstone, maker of some of the most durable and hard-wearing boots on both sides of the Pacific, is celebrating its 150th birthday this year. And if you’re not acquainted with the brand yet, what better time to step into a piece of history than the present?

The idea for Blundstone
started in Hobart, Tasmania in 1855 by John and Eliza Blundstone following a 93-day boat journey from England. This was before the invention of the lightbulb or the telephone, and in 1870, the duo officially launched their company, which became a favorite among farmers and builders who wanted a sturdy pair of boots to get them through a labor-intensive workday.

Justin Boots unveil cowboy collection

As part of their continuing delivery of authentic Western style, Justin Boots has brought the cutter-toe style to their Frontier collection to add a contemporary touch. When it comes to typical cowboy boots, users usually find an array of styles from round to pointed-toe shapes. However, the cutter-toe option offers a hybrid of these two styles for more room that still feels Western. The cutter toe style was made for cowboys to have more toe space yet narrow enough to fit into stirrups, making it the ultimate comfort in a cowboy boot. In this collection, Western fans will find the cutter toe style and plenty of bold and unique designs that stay true to the cowboy spirit.
Introducing the Frontier collection

The latest Frontier collection additions include the cutter toe style with premium goat and rugged leather options. Equipped with the brand’s ProStep Plus comfort system, these designs are made with some of the best comfort and support available in a cowboy boot. Versatile enough to wear in rural and urban environments, the new cutter toe style gives users more styling options to use with their shoes. Including supported arch construction and cushioned insoles, the Frontier collection is made with durability and all-day usage in mind. The Frontier collection expands various colorways and designs, giving wearers more options in finding the right pair. A fusion between authentic Western flair and modern needs, the Frontier collection is an ideal starting place for those looking to infuse the current Western trend into their closet. Now available via Justin Boots’ website, the Frontier collection ranges from $200 to $225.
