Lifestyle and apparel company Southern Tide has teamed up with Hawaiian heritage brand Reyn Spooner for an island-inspired menswear collection tailor-made for summer.

The new collaboration sees the two celebrated coastal entities combining forces for a line of colorful clothes that embody the best aspects of both brands. This means the collection not only boasts the iconic patterns, fabrics, and prints of Reyn Spooner’s Aloha Spirit, but also features the moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and UV-blocking technology of Southern Tide’s performance wear.

This mix of legacy styling and modern-day fabrications makes The Southern Tide X Reyn Spooner Collection a one-two punch of functionality and design that could be a knockout for guys after a trendy seaside vibe this season. The line includes t-shirts, Southern Tide’s signature polos, Reyn Spooner’s famous Aloha shirts, shorts, and swimwear.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Southern Tide,” explained Reyn Spooner CEO Lynne Koplin in a statement. “Southern Tide has a youthful vibe and adventurous spirit. I am excited to combine our iconic prints with their performance technology to embrace a new generation of customers from coast-to-coast.”

Southern Tide X Reyn Spooner Intercoastal Performance Short Sleeve

Of the Hawaiian shirts in the new Southern Tide X Reyn Spooner collection, the Intercoastal Performance Short Sleeve is a particular standout. The vintage-inspired top is crafted from a nylon stretch fabric for excellent mobility, plus all the great quick dry tech mentioned above. If the practical specs aren’t enough to win you over, surely the groovy fabric, with its gorgeous mountainscape motif, will.

Another fun item in the line is the pair of Aloha Swim Trunks from Reyn Spooner, which set a classic garland of tropical white flowers against a dark navy background. A six-inch inseam puts these bad boys right in the sweet spot between long and short, hitting as they do just above the knee. They also feature a breathable mesh lining and natural stretch for optimized comfort all (beach) day long.

Southern Tide X Reyn Spooner Wave Print Performance Polo

A classic fit and UV sun protection along with moisture-wicking tech make this polo the perfect shirt for golf, Sunday brunch, or a day wandering the beaches of Waikiki.

The full Southern Tide x Reyn Spooner collection — again, including sport shirts, polos, tees, swimwear — is now available for purchase at Southern Tide Signature Stores and online, here.

Many people mark the beginning of spring by observing their favorite seasonal event — waiting for Punxsutawney Phil to see his shadow, watching the cherry blossoms bloom, attending baseball's Opening Day.

For golfers, spring starts with the Masters Tournament — the first major championship of the year. Here, at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, the world's best golfers come and play for four days in hopes of getting to put on the highly coveted green sports jacket when it's all said and done. The beautiful blooming landscape, combined with the tournament's rich history and tradition, makes the Masters one of golf's most iconic events.

Ariat wants to make you look like Rip with “Yellowstone” collection
Western Icon Teams with Western Television Phenomenon
Ariat x Yellowstone Man and Woman in Field

John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and his team of people on the Dutton Ranch changed the world when they hit the screens. Not only were people fascinated by characters like Rip (Cole Hauser), Beth (Kelly Reilly), Kayce (Luke Grimes), and Jamie (Wes Bentley), but they may have been even more smitten with the wardrobe. Not many TV series can boast that they launched a full-blown fashion trend, but Yellowstone has done just that. Now, Western icon brand Ariat has teamed up with the series to develop a collection that will make you look like you belong on the back of a horse and, hopefully, not at the train station.

“Because Ariat is engrained in the Western communities that Yellowstone is based on, our clothing and boots have organically shown up on the show throughout the years," says Megan Iwersen, Ariat’s Chief Product Officer. "Now, with the Ariat x Yellowstone collaboration, Ariat is even more visible in the Yellowstone universe and is more accessible to those fans captivated by the American West. Johnetta helped us develop Western looks that both honor our heritage and deliver a modern aesthetic for anyone wanting to incorporate a bit of Western flair into their wardrobe.”

Suit jackets hanging up next to each other

Suits are some of a man's oldest surviving wardrobe pieces. They have been the bread and butter of masculine elegance in one way or another for centuries, with the modern iteration filling our closets for the last 100 years. Since men started wearing evening ties under single and double-breasted jackets and defining the decades of the previous century, we have had to find ways to keep them up to par between wears.

Nowadays, things are different. How often do we need to take your suit in for a cleaning? Can we do it at home? How do we care of them in between? For tips on cleaning a suit, we’ve reached out to Gary Flynn, CEO at M. Dumas & Sons in Charleston, South Carolina, and Joe Mueller at Wildwood & Company in Portland, Oregon.
