Worn Out Wednesday – Yosi Benvenisti

Yosi Benvenisti, Co-Founder of BrandIT Hospitality Group, was one of the front-runners behind NYC’s modern hospitality scene.

From a young age, the hospitality and nightlife industry has always been a true passion for Benvenisti. In the mid-nineties, he joined the nightlife scene managing in-house promotions for many of the major nightlife players of the time, including legendary venues such as Cheetah, Spa, The World, Tunnel and Twilo.

From there, he ventured into the fine dining realm having worked in all capacities in both back-of-house and front-of-house. In 2002, he opened his first restaurant, Vero, at the young age of 22 and it quickly became a neighborhood staple on the Upper East Side. He then opened Bounce, a modern sports bar on the Upper East Side, and a second location of Vero in Midtown East.

Using his experience and expertise in both restaurants and nightlife, Benvenisti created Bounce Sporting Club in the Flatiron in 2011, which redefined the concept of the sports bar. Now the flagship of the BrandIT portfolio, Bounce Sporting Club is a favorite of celebrities and professional athletes. Keeping true hospitality at the forefront of his projects, Benvenisti is fully hands-on in all aspects of BrandIT events and venues.

His passion for the industry is apparent though first-class culinary and beverage programs and brand partnerships and his tireless dedication to create memorable guest experiences.

As for Yosi’s personal style:

Jeans: I am all about being comfortable. My favorite pair are my Saint Laurent’s.

Shirts: My favorite is Paul Smith’s button down’s or a simple James Perse v- neck.

Pants: John Varvatos.

Suits: I don’t wear too many suits in my line of work, but I love a great sport coat. My favorite would have to be this black Givenchy sport coat I picked up in September. The cut on the coat is just right and the liner is super colorful.

Shoes: When I first started wearing my Fiorentini & Baker boots they were not my favorite, but as I broke them in they won me over.

Accessories: Helmut Lang cashmere hat, IWC Portugieser, Miansai leather bracelets, King Baby ring.

Outerwear: Depends on the outfit but with these NYC winters I try to stay as bundled as possible with my Burberry Pea Coat, or my Moose Knuckles Parka.

Favorite Cologne: Chanel Platinum Egoiste

Your favorite App: Uber

Favorite piece of technology: Sonos for my apartment.

Next tech purchase:  Outdoor projector for my terrace.

If you spend your life going through the racks of secondhand stores looking for that perfect pair of vintage Levi's jeans, we're here to save you some time and brain cells. The iconic denim brand has taken us back to the genesis of denim culture with its iconic 9Rivet jeans, a vintage relic dating all the way back to the 1870s (so, perhaps, "historical" would be a better word). Just like the brand itself, the 9Rivet Levi's jeans represent a pivotal moment in sartorial history, and now, more than 150 years later, you can own a pair. What a time to be alive.
The original Levi's jeans

The original 9Rivet jeans, thought to be the first pair ever, are preserved in the Levi's archives in San Francisco. The riveted duck waist overalls, used to help date the 9Rivet jeans, can be found at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, donated by Levi Strauss & Co. when the museum first opened.

Some watches have a story. Maybe they were designed for a famous or influential person. Maybe they were designed specifically to make something easier to do. Flying, sailing, diving, driving, and exploring all are industries that have watches specifically designed to make them easier. Whether military or field watches, Praesidus has made a name for itself by recreating some of the best and most iconic watches ever to hit the market.

While one of its most popular watches was the Tom Rice A-11, modeled after the timepiece the WWII sergeant lost when his parachute failed over D-Day, its newest jumps two decades ahead to find the newest inspiration. From the jungles of Vietnam, Praesidus brings back the iconic watches for men that soldiers picked up from Seiko that were completely different from the ones the military provided them. While you can choose a lot of military watches, the Rec Spec is definitely one of the best looking.
