Brandy St. John is a celebrity stylist, musician, and writer from Los Angeles. She’s best known for styling rock musicians like Jack White, Karen O, Green Day, and Beck. She designed an Oscars gown for Karen O that was voted “10 Best Dressed” by Vogue Magazine and designed pearly suits for The White Stripes that were displayed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Brandy also plays guitar and piano and records goth folk songs under the name The Long Wives. She’s recorded with Grammy-winning band the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and was featured on The Motel Life movie soundtrack along with some of her favorite musicians, like Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan. In 2019, she received an MFA in Creative Writing from Oregon State University. She is currently writing her debut novel and had her first poem published in 2020 by Ghost City Press.
